Prior to the advent of the Premiership, global media interest in football and large scale sponsorship deals, many players retired on fairly small incomes. Football Heroes is committed to working with ex-professional players to ensure that their skills and their ability to inspire football fans continues to benefit them at the end of their playing careers.

We are not just interested in the big names – we aim to work with players from smaller clubs who gave their all for the fans week in week out – and we also aim to put something back into grassroots football and to the community in general.
